This collection topped the Australian chart and appeared at #7 in the US and now holds a five times platinum selling certificate.

 

Shostakovich’s Fifth Symphony

This program is brimming with youthful talent. Davidson Fellow, Charlotte Marckx, takes center stage as she hypnotizes you into a blissful trance with Mozart’s Violin Concerto No. 4. Enjoy a world premiere performance composed by our very own Reno Phil Youth Orchestra and Davidson alumni, Paul Novak. Shostakovich’s Fifth Symphony will anchor the program – written in 1937 as a defiant act to satisfy Stalin’s regime. The symphony was published with the ironic subtitle, “A Soviet Artist’s Reply to Criticism” and has become loved for is complex beauty and triumphant conclusion.

 

Snowfest

February 29 - March 10

North Lake Tahoe SNOWFEST is one of the largest winter mountain festivals on the west coast. The annual event celebrates the best of North Lake Tahoe and all it has to offer by showcasing the relationships between the North Lake Tahoe community and the people who visit. Their mission is to support local nonprofits, public programs, student organizations, and scholarships, through the production of the unique ten-day festival.
