On March 3, 2026, Reno‑Tahoe Airport Authority held a ceremonial groundbreaking for the New Generation A & B Concourses; a $650 million expansion project that marks one of the most significant upgrades in the airport’s history. This effort is a key part of the airport’s ambitious MoreRNO Infrastructure Program, designed to modernize facilities and support projected passenger growth for decades to come. 

Reimagining the RNO Experience

Reno Tahoe residents can enjoy new nonstop flights to two popular destinations: Austin and Houston, Texas.

Adding these flights last December, the Reno-Tahoe Regional Air Service Corporation (RASC) has worked to build and maintain strong air service for international and domestic travel options. American Airlines will allow travelers to explore Austin’s legendary music scene, artistic culture, and outdoor experiences. United Airlines will take passengers to Houston in just three and a half hours for some southern sun, 19th century architecture, and an upscale culinary scene. Flights will run daily throughout the winter.

Now residents of Reno-Tahoe can catch a quick, nonstop flight to the Eureka/Arcata community in Northern California. The inaugural flight service is offered by aha!, an airline powered by veteran ExpressJet Airlines, and began on November 9th.

Flights will operate each Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday departing the California Redwood Coast – Humboldt County Airport at 11:25 a.m. PT and arrive at the Reno-Tahoe International Airport by 12:35 p.m. PT. Flights from Reno to Eureka will depart at 9:30 a.m. PT and arrive at 10:40 a.m. PT.
