The Reno Airport just got more chic and stylish – the new Escape Lounge is now open for relaxation and connectivity.

Opening on December 15, the Escape Lounge is the latest in style, food, drink and connection. Located just beyond the security connector joining concourses B and C at the Reno-Tahoe International Airport, this getaway spot has arrived just in time for the holidays.

Unlike other airport lounges, Escape is open to all passengers in whichever class of service. Fees are $40 in advance and $45 for walk-in. American Express Platinum Card holders get the added perk of free access. The lounge is open daily from 4:30 am to 8pm and bookings can be made through their online service.

Reno-Tahoe has been chosen by the largest U.S. Bicycle Industry Trade Show as its new home.

Interbike is America’ leading cycling trade show and has recently created its very own Interbike Marketweek. The consumer festival will begin with a weekend getaway at the breathtaking Northstar California Resort in Lake Tahoe, followed by a trade-focused OutDoor Demo and moving into the Interbike trade show which will take place in Reno.

A lot happened in the year 2016.

Our nation elected a new President, Team USA dominated at the Rio Olympics and the Chicago Cubs won the World Series. While the year may have been full of changes, one thing stayed the same – our Real Estate Team was as successful as ever in the Reno luxury market.

With the economy on the upswing and Nevada especially benefitting, the Reno-Tahoe International Airport has been reviewing its master plan.

The airport’s master planning committee decided to create a new plan last October and the process is expected to take 16 months. Studies will need to be conducted that will forecast commercial airport passenger and air cargo figures as well as general aviation and military operations within the next 20 years. Depending upon what they find, the master plan will include base-growth, low-growth and high-growth scenarios for 2021, 2026 and 2036.

Lake Tahoe area ski resorts are ramping up for a big winter.

Last season, chairlifts in Tahoe were turning for nearly seven months making one of the longest ski season in recent memory. This year resorts around the area are ready for another big season with ongoing capital improvements, new VIP services and air service.

The Reno-Tahoe International Airport will be adding additional air service with nonstop flights this winter from New York, Atlanta, Dallas, Los Angeles, Long Beach and other major gateway cities.
