North Lake Tahoe is a stunner in all seasons and summer will not disappoint.

Lake Tahoe is known for it’s clear, summer nights and skies full of twinkling stars. Northern Nevada is blessed with more than 300 days of sunshine a year and this translates into blue-bird days followed by silver-studded night skies. When you see the stars reflected on the surface of the lake’s still, deep waters you will be stunned into silence. The sight is treasured by many and would enhance anyone’s love of astronomy. Start your journey off in and around Camp Richardson, a beautiful spot on the road to Emerald Bay. Riding a bike or snowshoeing around the lake is a mellow and low-key way to get an up-close-and-personal view of the Jewel of the Sierra.

Grab your handlebars and cruise up the Camp Richardson Bike Path from the retro General Store all the way up to the Tallac Historic Site. There you can visit lavish bygone estates, a museum and Washoe gardens all with stunning natural vistas to paint the backdrop. Right now, the groves of aspen trees are alight with fall colors in stunning oranges, greens and golds.
