Reno-Tahoe Odyssey
May 29–30

One of the most epic running events in the region returns for another incredible year. The Reno-Tahoe Odyssey is a 178-mile relay adventure that loops through some of the most breathtaking scenery the Sierra Nevada has to offer. Starting at Wingfield Park along the Truckee River, winding through Truckee, Tahoe City, South Lake Tahoe, Genoa, Carson City, and Virginia City before finishing at Idlewild Park. Teams tackle the course across 36 legs, each averaging about five miles, making it as much a test of community and camaraderie as it is of endurance. Whether you're running it or cheering from the sidelines, it's a spectacular celebration of everything that makes this region extraordinary.

Reno River Festival
May 29–31

The official kickoff to summer in the Biggest Little City. The Reno River Festival takes over all of Idlewild Park for three days of adventure, live music, and community celebration along the Truckee River. This year is the biggest RiverFest ever, featuring 30 live acts across two stages, plus professionally guided whitewater rafting tours, a craft beer and cocktail Hops & Happiness tour, Art on the Rocks painting experiences, bucket golf, food trucks, a full vendor village, and so much more!

Reno Aces — All Month Long

Baseball season is in full swing! Cheer on our hometown Reno Aces at Greater Nevada Field throughout May. The month wraps up with a home series against the Sacramento River Cats (May 26–31) that coincides perfectly with Reno River Festival weekend. A baseball game is one of the best ways to enjoy a warm spring evening in Reno with family and friends.
