A bluegrass festival where the wild horse roam? Yes, it's true. Washoe Valley is a protected space; the mighty Sierra Mountain range rises to the west, and the pinion and juniper-covered Virginia range slopes easily to the east. The Bowers Bluegrass Festival takes place in the daylight hours as the park has no lighting. So, you'll have an ample evening jamming time at our Group Camp at Washoe Lake State Park.

SMU Vs. Nevada Wolf Pack

August 24

The first University of Nevada, Reno football home game of the season! The Wolf Pack takes on the SMU Mustangs at Mackay Stadium.

Reno Water Lantern Festival

August 24

While they're called many things such as lantern festivals, lights festivals, floating lanterns, water fest, or Chinese lanterns - only Water Lantern Festival allows you to Light The Water in a way you'll never forget. Now you can experience the magic of thousands of lanterns as the soft lights reflect upon the water. Water Lantern Festival is filled with fun, happiness, hope, and great memories that you'll cherish for a lifetime. This is a family friendly event that can be shared by everyone.
