Looking for a place in Reno-Tahoe to celebrate America’s birthday? Here are some patriotic ideas!

1) 4th of July with the Reno Phil

The Reno Phil Orchestra and Chorus will perform patriotic and classical favorites at Wingfield Park in Downtown Reno. Conducted by Laura Jackson, this family friendly performance will begin at 7:30pm and will end with a fantastic firework finale. This event is free to the community.

2) 4th Annual Star Spangled Sparks Fireworks Spectacular at the Nugget Casino Resort

Festivities include the largest fireworks show in Northern Nevada, live music, food and beverage vendors, arts & craft booths, and a VIP BBQ Party. BBQ Party tickets are $55 (plus tax and fees) for VIP reserved seating area with picnic style food and beverages. Street vendors open at 4pm, the VIP BBQ Party begins at 7:00pm with spectacular fireworks show at approximately 9:45pm Tickets for the VIP BBQ Party can be purchased here.

3) Night at the Reno Aces

What’s more patriotic than a baseball game on the 4th of July? Grab a hotdog and some peanuts and cheer on the the Reno Aces as they take on the Sacramento River Cats. Stick around after the game for their largest fireworks show of the year.

4) Fourth of July Celebration at the Nevada State Railroad Museum

The Nevada State Railroad Museum offers a whole day of festive activities. At 9:45am, you can view the Parade of Trains featuring steam locomotive No. 25, the McKeen Motor Car, and the historic wood-burning locomotive from 1875, No. 22, the Inyo. The Glenbrook will also be under steam and operating demonstration runs. From 10:40am to 4:00pm, there will be alternating runs of the McKeen Motor Car and No. 25, allowing visitors to ride both trains.

You can save money purchasing an all-inclusive wristband, which includes admission to the museum and unlimited train rides.

Adults 18 years and older - $15.00

Friends of the Museum Members - $9.00

Children 12 to 17 years old - $9.00

Children 4 to 11 years old - $5.00

Children 3 years old and under - FREE

5) M.S. Dixie II Fireworks Cruise

Experience the 4th of July fireworks in style as you hop aboard the M.S. Dixie II for a special dinner cruise. The celebration includes a "Welcome Aboard" glass of champagne, a delicious surf 'n' turf dinner, a live band, plus a remarkable firework show. 6) 4th Of July Family Fun Festival at Harrah’s and Harvey’s Lake Tahoe

Salute America with fun for all ages and a spectacular firework show. Featuring a DJ, bounce houses, face painting and balloon artists. Food and drink available for purchase.

7) 4th of July at the Sugarloaf

The Sugarloaf Mountain Motel will be hosting a BBQ free to the public. Enjoy the food and stay for the fireworks. All ages are welcome! Festivities start at 6pm and go until the fireworks end.

 8) Parade of Golf Carts at Montrêux

If you are a resident or member of Montreux Golf & Country Club, you don't have to go any further than your backyard. Come watch (or participate in!) the 4th Annual Golf Cart Parade.
