Bustling Summer Events in Tahoe

From lakeside concerts, Fourth of July weekend fireworks and special events, Lake Tahoe has tons to offer this summer.

This is list is just a small sampling of the different festivals, from beer and wine to yoga-centric and races in the sky.

Valhalla Renaissance Faire

June 2 – 3 & June 9 – 10, @ the Camp Richardson Historic Resort and Marina

Enjoy two weekends of renaissance fun, including archery, javelin throws, magicians and more. The Faire is celebrating it’s 25th anniversary this year and will display more than 800 actors on 3 stages. There will be plenty of pageantry, food & drink, fine artisans, games, crafts, art shows, music and dance.

Tahoe Brewfest

June 2, @ Heavenly’s Cal Lodge

Join fellow beer lovers from around the world for a day in the sun at the Cal Lodge at Heavenly. The 2nd annual brewfest will be chock full of friends, awesome beer tastings, knockout food and sweet merch. This event is family friendly too, with face painting, cornhole, jumbo Jenga and craft root beer for the kids.

Truckee Brewfest

June 9, @ Downtown Truckee

The 13th annual outdoor beer festival will feature more than 40 breweries, along with brats, BBQ, music and a silent auction. Proceeds from the event will benefit local Truckee youth. Must be 21 to attend and designated drivers get in for free!

Summer Mountain Festival

June 16 – 24, @ North Lake Tahoe

Presented by Alpenglow Sports, this nine day celebration of human-powered sports includes hiking, yoga, stand-up paddle boarding, rock climbing and more! Runners, be sure to check out the Broken Arrow Sky Race, an epic mountain trail race with options including a 52k, 26k, 10k and a “Vertical K”. The two-day race will be held on June 16 – 17.

Valhalla Art, Music & Theatre Festival

June 22, @ Valhalla’s Boathouse Theater

This celebration of music, theatre and visual arts opens the 2018 season on June 22 with Little Faith performing R&B, soul and gospel. The shows will run all the way through November – check out the link above for the full schedule.

Tahoe City Wine Walk

June 16, @ North Lake Tahoe

The Tahoe City Food & Wine Classic will give you some of the best views of the lake. The outdoor event will focus on fine wine and gourmet food from top restaurants and catering companies in the area. Sip, shop and enjoy live music.

Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival

July 6 – August 26, @ Sand Harbor at Lake Tahoe Nevada State Park

This summer, the Shakespeare festival returns with productions of “Macbeth” and “Beehive – The ‘60s Musical” running from July all the way to the end of August. The sun sets over Sand Harbor as the performance unfolds, taking your breath away!

Wanderlust Yoga Festival

July 19 – 22, @ Squaw Valley

Four days at Wanderlust will hopefully leave you refreshed and inspired to lead a healthy life. Come and celebrate with yoga, meditation, hikes and music.

Great Gatsby Living History Festival

August 11 – 12, @ Lake Tahoe

Celebrate the roaring 20s in this newly revitalized festival in Lake Tahoe. You’ll enjoy guided tours, vintage automobiles, games, activities and more.

Sample the Sierra

September 15, @ South Lake Tahoe’s Bijou Community Park

This farm-to-fork festival celebrates the bounty and heritage of the Sierra Nevada region. The day will showcase winemakers, brewers, chefs and artists.
